NMBS is a Belgian public service provider that wants to offer its customers high-quality and sustainable mobility by train, from a multimodal point of view and with the expansion of his stations as integrated traffic nodes.

Project Scope:

Setup of a wireless electrical energy monitoring network: installation and commissioning of  

> 250 consumption meters (electricity, gas, water, heating) + management software

Technology:

Software: EMS10 (Kamstrup), Hardware: Kamstrup, Siemens

Challenges:

Wireless network in huge area full of concrete (Antwerp Railway Station)

Retrofit of new technology without down time for the end customer
